Seems to satisfy

I'd say the birds and a couple resident squirrels LOVE THIS FOOD! They all look healthy. They come back everyday and some of them stick around through out the day. A couple of the baby doves actually sit down in the seeds after eating it's such a lovely thing to see. Great Hummingbird Food

I have beern using this hummingbird food for years. The local hummingbirds seem to love it. I have tried others but the local humming birds seem to shun them. Recently I had difficulty locating the MILLS Brothers humming food locally. I found it at Amazon.



I found that by using a Rubbermaid "RefillReuse" 20 oz. plastic bottle mixing the food with water becomes easy. One side of the bottle is marked with a 10 oz. mark and a 20 oz. mark. Between those two marks is blank mark. That would be the 15 oz. mark.



I empty a bag of hummingbird food into the bottle. Fill the bottle with water until it reaches the mark between the 10 oz. and the 20 oz. marks. Replace the cap making sure the spout is closed and shake. Done. They sell the bottle at Amazon.More detail ...

Well I am rating this one a 5 because we love it for our African Timneh Gray! But I am disappointed that it is so much more expensive online than it is at my local petstore (they are out right now for a week until their shipment comes in). Usually its the other way around - cheaper online. Then add shipping into the mix and its at least 12 dollars more than getting it local. I guess Einstein will eat his other food for now until the pet store stocks it. Others should be aware to look at the poundage when ordering. Must have!

I have always feed my birds another ahemm name brand and they were just ok looking birds with little color. Now that I feed my birds ZUPREEM they seem to have gotten brighter feathers in a few weeks. It did take some of them almost 4 days to accept the change because the other brand was mostly seeds. But I mixed ZUPREEM half and half with their other food and within 4 days left out the other brand. It made them happier too it seems :) they are singing all the time now too.More detail ...

Its what I can Afford


My bird makes a sticky nasty mess of the stuff and his cage is covered in plastic because of it. He does fine on it tho. He wastes alot of it id say and gets him self covered in it. and his beak. I didnt have that issue with the Nekton But I cant afford the stuff.More detail ...

Good food that assures me my bird is getting proper food.

I've always been pretty happy with Lafeber's foods with the pellets being my bird's main staple and the berries serving as treats. Of course he does get occasional people food fruits and veggies cheese... but I feel more comfortable sticking predominantly with the parrot food.



What really irks me though are the prices they advertise here. I am sure these MSRPs are flat out highly inflated prices. C'mon List Price: $61.08?? There's no friggin way. Petco sells it for $19.99 in store I buy it for $18.99 at my local bird store. I'm supposed to "feel good" that I'm saving $45.09 or 74%?? The bird liked it but we didn't.

Our Alexandrine isn't a picky guy and he certainly munched on this contentedly. My first clue that maybe this was going to be a one-time only purchase- the much touted easy open zip top seal died the second time I tied to open the bag. To add insult to injury I think the bird food at Amazon sits in the warehouse for awhile; it was full of seed moths! I ended up throwing it out before we'd used 1/4 of the bag. So if you decide to bit the bullet and buy this keep a bag clip handy and either store it in the freezer or invest in some of those pantry moth pest traps.More detail ...

Keeps the keets well and healthy

Our three keets love this food. Although they don't tackle the bigger pieces of dried fruit in it....which is fine by us.... because everything else in the bowl is keeping them quite well (and we do offer fresh fruit as the alternative which they dive into equally as well). At one point we switched to another high-end keet food for a cost savings....only to have one of our older keets come up with some digestive issues that almost cost her her life. Very scary. We keep to Dr.Harveys religiously now and have vibrant playful vocal and very active healthy birds. We chose it initially because it contained bee pollen...something we have had great success in using with our dogs and horses for maintained health.More detail ...

I'm very disappointed that what we received is the blue packages of Hartz in the mail. I thought you still had some of the original food in the warehouse. The picture shows the original packaging. The new blend is completely different than the old food. I hope and pray our little bird will get used to the new food in time. I mix the old & new but he won't eat very much of it.
